The Federal SBIR/STTR programs award over $2.5 billion in high risk R&D funding annually to qualified small businesses. The process is complex with a steep learning curve, but the impact of receiving $millions in non-dilutive funding is worth the effort.
Learn more about the programs during this 2-hr. overview conducted by nationally recognized SBIR/STTR expert and SBIR Impact program director, Becky Aistrup. Becky will cover SBIR/STTR basics, including what the two programs fund, eligibility requirements, how SBIR and STTR differ, how to determine which of the 11 participating agencies is right for your technology, and key components of a competitive proposal. The class provides enough information for attendees to determine if they would like to seriously pursue a grant or contract proposal.
Training will be held in the Auditorium.
Note: Session is non-refundable
The session is provided by SBIR Impact NYC, an initiative of the New York City Economic Development Corporation designed to enhance the competitiveness of SBIR/STTR proposals among NYC-based life sciences and healthcare technology companies. This session is sponsored and co-hosted by the New York Genome Center.
